The Porter - Macbeth (2006)

Antonio borrows the money from Shylock, a Jewish moneylender. Being the lifetime object of Antonio’s taunts, Shylock sets the terms of the loan as a pound of Antonio’s flesh should he default on his bond.

When the ships are reported lost, Bassanio leaves his new bride and hurries back to Venice to be by Antonio’s side when Shylock collects on the bond.

Portia, disguised as a doctor of civil law, defends Antonio against Shylock’s bond.
